Humans aren't resources. Culture isn't cult-like team building. Companies aren't families, they're communities built on mutual benefit. Accountability and competence are non-negotiable. Everything else is optics theatre.

Marx would look at housing treated as speculative assets and say he literally wrote about this. Shelter commodified, workers priced out, landlords extracting wealth they didn't create. He'd probably say "I told you" but with more German compound words.

Airlines guilt us with carbon offsets, apps turned tips into bids, grocers ask for charity roundups. Next up is "Support our CEO's bonus target" buttons at self-checkout. That's where this goes.

Forced minimalism is as draining as buying sprees. One demands you acquire constantly, the other demands you police constantly. Both keep you thinking about your stuff. Neither lets you forget about it.

Building my ideal country in my head... Canada's population density, EU privacy laws, Mediterranean climate. It exists nowhere, which somehow makes the search feel more urgent, not less. Suggestions welcome.
